About this program
UNSW's Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning builds on the shorter Graduate Certificate with deeper investment, financial planning and taxation training for a career in personal financial advisory, taught by UNSW Business School's finance and taxation academics through a mix of online and face-to-face delivery for working professionals. The program integrates financial markets, investment theory, risk management and taxation law into a single coherent qualification, while also providing the learning needed for professional financial planning accreditation. It suits people already working toward or established in financial advisory careers who want more depth than the certificate offers but aren't ready to commit to a full postgraduate degree, and entry requires a recognised bachelor's degree plus two years of full-time relevant work experience. Credit typically carries forward for graduates who later decide to pursue further postgraduate study in the same area.
