Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership builds connections between curating, audience engagement, policy, management, critical writing, promotion and production, treating contemporary curating as a dynamic profession that sets cultural agendas rather than a purely administrative gallery function. Built on more than 20 years of UNSW Art & Design postgraduate experience in this field, the program is delivered in close collaboration with UNSW Galleries and a broad range of Australian and international industry partners, giving students genuine professional networks alongside academic training. Fully online study is available, though only for domestic students not on an international student visa. It suits both people with existing backgrounds in museums, galleries, arts organisations or art practice, and career-changers entering curating or cultural leadership from other professional backgrounds, preparing graduates as independent professionals able to lead across curating, exhibition, arts policy and management contexts.
