Master of Health Leadership and Management

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Master of Health Leadership and Management is designed for current and aspiring health system leaders, both in Australia and internationally, building the theoretical understanding and practical skills needed for strategic planning, policy development, change management, quality enhancement and decision-making in healthcare specifically. The program broadens students' understanding of current and emerging influences on the health sector, including consumer-centred care models, aiming to produce work-ready leaders who can drive meaningful change in the health systems they work within. Two main entry pathways require a three-year undergraduate degree in any field plus two years of full-time professional or volunteer experience in a relevant health-adjacent role, with a third exceptional pathway for other applicants. It suits health professionals ready for a full postgraduate leadership qualification, building on the shorter Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma versions of the same program for those who've already completed one of those first.
