UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
UNSW's Master of Public Relations and Advertising gives graduates and career-changers a professionally rigorous education in public relations and advertising, blending contemporary theory and academic research with practical creative and strategic skills. The program covers informative, persuasive, creative, promotional, digital and interpersonal communication modes, training students to engage ethically with the publics and communities organisations need to build relationships with, from citizens to consumers to critics. It's aimed equally at industry professionals looking to formalise and advance existing PR and advertising experience and at career-changers entering the field from other backgrounds, with credit transfer available for relevant prior study up to 50% of a given specialisation. It suits people who want genuine academic depth behind their PR and advertising practice rather than a purely vocational or short-course approach to the field.
