About this program

A four-year, 192 unit electrical and electronic engineering degree in which honours is integrated throughout rather than added as a separate year. After a common engineering first year, students specialise in areas including circuit analysis, digital systems, electromagnetics, electrical machines, control systems and power systems, with electives in machine learning, RF engineering, robotics and renewable energy. The degree includes up to 12 weeks of industry placement and a major honours research project in the final year. It holds provisional professional engineer accreditation from Engineers Australia and is aligned with the Washington Accord for international recognition. Entry requires SACE Stage 2 Mathematical Methods or equivalent and IELTS 6.5. Graduates work across power and energy, telecommunications, electronics, automation and manufacturing. It suits students set on becoming a professional electrical engineer.
