About this program
A four-year degree (132 core units) with honours built in. Core courses cover solid mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, acoustics and vibrations, control systems, manufacturing processes, and computer-aided design, and year four is a major industry research project.
Students complete up to 450 hours of supervised industry work experience through professional practice courses and internships of up to 12 weeks. The degree is provisionally accredited at Professional Engineer level by Engineers Australia, which on full accreditation gives Washington Accord international recognition. Entry requires IELTS 6.5 and a Stage 2 mathematical methods prerequisite. Indicative international fee is around A$57,100 per year.
