Diploma in Legal Studies
Adelaide University, Adelaide, SA, Australia
About this program
The Diploma in Legal Studies at Adelaide University is a one-year pathway program for students who do not have a competitive ATAR or LSAT to enter the Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Students study the same courses as the first year of the Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and on successful completion receive credit for the first year of that degree. Students build a strong foundation in how the law works and how laws change as society evolves, learning to investigate and analyse laws, regulations and court rulings, and to research past decisions to understand how precedent works. Students who choose not to continue with law gain foundational legal knowledge for other careers.
