About this program
The Associate Degree of Legal Studies at Charles Darwin University is for people interested in broadening their understanding of the legal system without committing to a full law degree. It gives a broad understanding of the law, legal processes and legal principles and introduces practical areas such as torts, contracts, criminal law and transnational law. It suits those with a general interest in legal issues and those gauging their interest before a full law degree. After completing the first year, students may seek admission to the Bachelor of Laws with credit transfer. The course does not lead to professional accreditation.
