About this program
The Bachelor of Political Science at ANU is described as the only dedicated political science degree in Australia, a three-year program at the Acton campus in Canberra. Students study the identities, values and norms that underpin citizens' attitudes and political behaviour, examine and compare the institutions and political systems of Australia and other countries, and build analytical skills that are sought after in the job market. Located in the nation's capital, the degree offers internships including in Parliament House so students can see policymaking firsthand. Graduates work in the public service, political and electoral research, advocacy and campaigning, journalism, international organisations and consulting.
