About this program

The Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) is a one-year full-time program at ANU's Acton campus that builds on the Bachelor of Visual Arts and exemplifies the University's research-led approach to education. Students develop advanced knowledge of research principles, methods and theoretical concepts in visual arts, and design and carry out a research project, typically the creation and installation or exhibition of a coherent, focused body of artworks that integrates studio practice with contextual research. The program requires 48 units, including research methods courses and a thesis. It provides high-level preparation for professional practice or a higher degree by research.
