About this program
The Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) is ANU's four-year graduate-entry medical degree, enabling provisional registration as a junior doctor. It is built on four themes: medical sciences, clinical skills, population health, and professionalism and leadership, with a curriculum that explores the social foundations of medicine and Indigenous health. Students combine biomedical and clinical learning with communication, examination and critical appraisal skills, and undertake clinical placements. Graduates enter internship and prevocational training and go on to specialty training across hospital medicine, general practice, surgery, psychiatry, research and public health.
