The Master of Philosophy at the Australian National University in Population Health is a research higher degree in which candidates undertake supervised research culminating in a thesis that makes an original contribution to knowledge in epidemiology, biostatistics, global and Indigenous health, mental health, or health policy. Candidates work with increased independence under a supervisory panel of experts in the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, and the MPhil can serve as a pathway to PhD candidature.
