About this program

This is an eight-month honours year (two semesters), not a full degree, taken after a three-year psychology sequence. Semester one covers multivariate research methods, human experimental psychology, and research ethics; semester two covers psychological assessment and professional practice while students complete a supervised research thesis.

It is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and counts as the fourth year of the six-year pathway to registration as a psychologist, so finishing it makes a graduate eligible to apply for provisional registration with AHPRA and for master's-level clinical programs. Students work from a dedicated fourth-year lab with statistical software and use Bond's cognitive research labs and test library. Entry is competitive and based on grades in the prior psychology major.
