About this program
The work-integrated learning version of Bond's Master of Criminology. The taught content is the same, covering crime analysis, cybercrime, transnational crime, global justice, and research and data analytics, and it is open to graduates from outside criminology as well as people already working in justice, policing or policy. Where the standard degree lets students choose a larger research project or a shorter project plus electives, the Professional version instead adds a compulsory 20-week Work Integrated Learning component in the final semester: a placement in an Australian organisation plus a professional portfolio, taken after coursework is complete. That extends the degree by roughly one semester. It is open to international students only; domestic students take the standard Master of Criminology. It suits students who want applied experience in a justice-sector workplace built into the degree.
