About this program
This course introduces students to criminal behaviour, crime policy, and prevention, for those upskilling or moving into the field of criminology. It examines current approaches to justice and uses theory and methods to explore areas of ongoing and emerging criminological concern, giving students a grounding in justice systems and issues relevant to local, national, and global communities. Graduates can gain direct entry into the Master of Criminology or the Graduate Diploma in Criminology. Criminology is not a standard skilled migration occupation in Australia by itself, and graduates typically move into policy, government, or private-sector analyst roles rather than a defined migration pathway; police and forensic roles in Australia usually require citizenship or permanent residency to apply. The course is delivered by Murdoch University in Western Australia.
