About this program
The research pathway of Bond's Master of Laws, distinct from the coursework LLM. Instead of taught subjects, candidates undertake a supervised research project in law ending in a thesis, typically over two years full-time, with a confirmation panel and progress reviews along the way. Topics span areas such as commercial law, international law, dispute resolution and legal theory, matched to a supervisor's expertise. It sits within Bond's Higher Degree by Research community and can serve as a step toward a PhD or SJD. It suits lawyers and law graduates who want to research a specific legal question in depth and produce original scholarship, rather than broaden their knowledge through coursework.

Course structure
- The duration of a full-time LLM (Research) candidature must be not less than 12 months and not more than 24 months. Half-time candidates must be enrolled for not less than 24 months and not more than 48 months

Admissions
The Master of Laws (Research) is offered to those with a professional law qualification (Bachelor of Laws, Juris Doctor or equivalent). Applicants are required to have at least a 65 cumulative percentage average.
