About this program
An eight-month coursework LLM (two semesters, 80 credit points) designed for overseas-trained lawyers who want to practise in Australia. After an admitting board assesses an applicant's overseas law degree and identifies which knowledge areas are missing, this program delivers those Priestley 11 gap subjects, with postgraduate electives making up the rest of the 80 credit points.
It covers the academic requirement for admission; graduates still complete practical legal training, typically Bond's Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, before being admitted. It suits internationally qualified lawyers who want to close their admission gap and hold an Australian postgraduate law degree at the same time.
