Master of Occupational Therapy
Bond University, Gold Coast, QLD, Australia
About this program
Bond runs occupational therapy as an extended masters of about four years rather than a short graduate-entry program. It embeds around 1,040 hours of fieldwork, including 24 weeks of Level II supervised practice. Entry is with a bachelor's degree, with common pathways from exercise and sports science, biomedical science, health sciences, or psychological science.
The qualification is approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, and separately accredited in the United States by ACOTE, which widens where graduates can register. Students choose a clinically focused or business-focused research pathway within the degree. Completing it leads to registration as an occupational therapist in Australia.
