About this program
The Bachelor of Humanitarian Aid and Development at Charles Darwin University is an interdisciplinary degree that teaches students to understand, critically analyse and apply concepts of community development, humanitarian practice and development aid. Students explore culture studies, sociology, ethics, Indigenous knowledge, community development, international humanitarian assistance and development, project management and language studies, learning from academics and industry practitioners focused on national and international community work, disaster relief and development. Students complete a two-week compulsory intensive at the Casuarina campus, and Human Services major students undertake 400 hours of community placement.
