About this program
The Bachelor of Social Work at Charles Darwin University is a professionally recognised degree that prepares graduates to work as a social worker, using principles of social justice, human rights and cultural safety to promote social change and empowerment through skills in counselling, case management and community development. The course incorporates knowledge from social work, psychology, social policy, research and First Nations Peoples perspectives, and prepares students to work with individuals, families, groups and communities, including those in crisis or affected by poverty and social disadvantage. It includes 20 days of face-to-face intensive classes prior to placements.
