About this program
CQUniversity's Master of Nutrition and Dietetics (CL88, per CQU's own handbook) is designed to meet workforce needs for dietitians in regional, rural and remote Australia, covering generalist, relationship-focused dietetic care across the lifespan alongside culturally responsive practice, clinical reasoning, counselling and behaviour change techniques. It is delivered online with intensive residential schools at the North Rockhampton campus and professional placements in regional, rural and remote settings, and offers a Pathway to Doctorate entry. Note: per CQU's own course page, this course will be open for enrolments from July 2027, and CQU currently holds Program Qualification (not yet full accreditation) from the Australian Dietetics Council, with full Dietitians Australia accreditation documents due 1 April 2026; graduates can only register as an Accredited Practising Dietitian once that full accreditation is granted.

Admissions
A completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent 3-year Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Biomedical Sciences or Health Sciences (minimum GPA 4.5, completed within the last 10 years), including at least 8 units of bioscience (chemistry, biochemistry, human physiology, pathophysiology) and at least 4 units of food and nutrition science, plus a Self-Assessment checklist. An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Admissions Pathway is also available via a semi-structured interview.
