About this program
The Bachelor of Social Work at Deakin University is fully accredited and equips students to support individuals, families and communities through an understanding of policy, socioeconomic factors and social equity issues. Students develop the skills to address the underlying causes of inequality and contribute to lasting social change, learning contemporary approaches through student-centred teaching. Students undertake 1000 hours of supervised practice education across a range of community and professional settings. Graduates work in child protection, health, mental health, community development and policy, and are eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
