About this program
Deakin University's Master of Data Science is a 16-credit-point degree, normally two years full-time at four credit points per trimester across two trimesters a year, structured in four parts: foundation information technology, fundamental data analytics, mastery data science, and a data science capstone. The course covers statistical methods, machine learning, data wrangling and the communication of insights to decision-makers. Recognition of prior learning can shorten the course for students with relevant study or work experience. The degree is accredited at professional level by the Australian Computer Society and recognised internationally through the Seoul Accord.
