About this program
The Master of Dietetics at Deakin University is accredited by Dietitians Australia and is a recognised pathway to becoming an Accredited Practising Dietitian. With more than 45 years delivering dietetics education, Deakin offers one of Australia's longest-running courses in the field. Students explore the relationship between diet and disease and develop evidence-based treatments for conditions such as obesity, diabetes, allergies and malnutrition, applying their learning through supervised professional placements. Graduates work as dietitians in hospitals, community health, private practice, food industry and public health roles.

Admissions
To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet all the following criteria: completion of a bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline, completed within the last 10 years. Graduates of Deakin's Bachelor of Nutrition Science (Dietetics Pathway) with a weighted average mark of 75 or above receive guaranteed entry. Places are limited and entry is competitive
