About this program
The Master of Education (Research) at Deakin University is a supervised research degree in which candidates investigate an education topic of their choosing under the guidance of an academic supervisor, defending their proposed research at an oral colloquium partway through candidature. Candidates submit a thesis, or a folio combining an exegesis with research products relating to professional practice, and may transfer into the Doctor of Philosophy if their research shows strong promise.
