About this program
The Master of Health Promotion at Deakin University builds the expertise to improve health and wellbeing at a population level. Students develop skills in program planning, communication, policy, advocacy and research to address the social and structural determinants of health, grounded in principles of equity, social justice and empowerment. The course is accredited by the International Union for Health Promotion and Education and enables graduates to register as a health promotion practitioner. Graduates work across government, non-government and community organisations in program, policy and advocacy roles.

Admissions
Entry and credit load depend on prior study: a related bachelor's degree, or any bachelor's degree plus two years' relevant work experience, gives 4 credit points of admission credit and a 1.5-year full-time course (12 credit points); other applicants complete the full 2-year, 16-credit-point course
