About this program
Deakin University Master of Public Health requires 16 credit points and normally takes two years full-time at four credit points per trimester across two trimesters a year, with a fast-track to 1.5 years for applicants with relevant qualifications or experience. Students tailor the degree by choosing electives from eight fields of study, including health promotion, public health nutrition, humanitarian assistance, and disability and inclusion. All students receive a two-year membership of the Public Health Association of Australia while studying. Recognition of prior learning can grant credit. Indicative international tuition is around A$44,500 per year. Graduates move into senior public health roles, work with international organisations such as UNICEF and with NGOs focused on cancer, tobacco, drugs, reproductive health, obesity, food security and violence, or continue to a PhD.
