The Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography at Edith Cowan University prepares students to work as sonographers, highly skilled medical imaging professionals who operate ultrasound machines to perform diagnostic examinations. Demand for ultrasound as a first-line investigation has increased across all care settings, creating a shortage of sonographers in Australia. Admissions
All applicants must have already completed the Bachelor of Preclinical Foundations of Imaging Science (course code T78). Academic admission requirements (Band 6) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: a bachelor degree, or equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
