The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics at Edith Cowan University is a pathway to the profession of dietetics, integrating theoretical and practical components across clinical dietetics, food service, community and public health, and research. - Public Health Nutrition and Nutritional Biochemistry and Pathophysiology. Trimester 2 covers Applied Food Science and Systems
- Nutrition Research Skills
- Medical Nutrition Therapy 1 and Dietetics Professional Skills. Trimester 3 covers a Nutrition Research Project
- Food Systems and Dietetic Management
- Medical Nutrition Therapy 2
- and Advanced Communication in Dietetic Practice. Year 2 consists of Community Placement and Evaluation
- Food Service Placement and Evaluation
- and Individual Case Management Placement and Evaluation. Students who cannot complete the full course may be eligible to exit with a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Nutrition. Total: 2 years full time equivalent

Admissions
Applicants need a bachelor degree in a human bioscience area, such as allied health, biomedical science, exercise and sports science, food science, health science, medicine, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy or another relevant science based degree, with a Weighted Average Mark of 65 percent or higher, including chemistry followed by biochemistry (0.25 EFTSL each) and human biology followed by human physiology (0.25 EFTSL each). Academic admission requirements (Band 8) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: a bachelor degree in a cognate discipline, or, where accepted, equivalent prior learning including at least five years of relevant professional experience.
