About this program
The postgraduate clinical rehabilitation program provides opportunities for health professionals from any allied health, medical or nursing field to enhance their knowledge, skills and attitudes in clinical rehabilitation. We offer a number of Clinical Rehabilitation study options, including Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters of Clinical Rehabilitation. Students who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation are guaranteed entry into the Masters program, or students may apply to enrol in the Masters of Clinical Rehabilitation directly. Up to 80% off fees due to Government subsidies* *Government subsidies enable Flinders to offer Domestic applicants a reduction of up to 80% off full course fees through Commonwealth Supported Places. Admissions
Graduate Certificate Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related field such as medicine, nursing, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy or other approved allied health discipline. Masters (1.5 years) For health professionals with at least two years' clinical experience in Australia, or those who hold a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation. Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant clinical area and have at least two years' full-time equivalent post-degree experience in a related clinical area within an Australian context, or hold a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate can also be used in applying for credit. Masters (2 years) For health professionals seeking to gain experience in an Australian health care context, typically international applicants or those without prior Australian clinical experience. This pathway includes two additional optional topics and a clinical placement. Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant clinical area, and have at least two years' full-time equivalent post-degree experience in a related clinical area, or hold a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate can also be used in applying for credit. Masters (1.5 years) Neurological Occupational Therapy Applicants must hold a bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification plus a minimum of two years' full-time equivalent post-degree work experience in a relevant clinical discipline by the commencement date of the course; or hold the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation or equivalent qualification. In addition, all applicants must be currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority as an Occupational Therapist, and maintain this registration for the duration of their study in the degree. Successful completion of the Graduate Certificate can also be used in applying for credit. Masters (1.5 years) Neurological Physiotherapy Applicants must hold a bachelor degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification plus a minimum of two years' full-time equivalent post-degree work experience in a relevant clinical discipline by the commencement date of the course; or hold the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation or
