This degree is designed to equip you with the complex skills you'll need for a successful career conceptualising and creating the next wave of games and virtual worlds. Build your network and skills Develop vital contacts and networks through our local and global industry links with leading organisations like Epic Games, Toon Boom, Liquid Animation, Animal Logic, NEP, Asia Pacific Screen Academy, Ludo (Bluey) and specialised. Become part of the industry Griffith University is an official Unreal Academic Partner, giving you access to the powerful Unreal Engine used for high-fidelity games and virtual production. We are also a member of the Interactive Games and Entertainment Association (IGEA), connecting you with the games industry across Australia and New Zealand.

- Year 1: Introduction to Game Design and Production, Foundations of Character Animation, Introduction to 3D Art and Environments, Games History and Culture, Introduction to Virtual Production, Introduction to Games Programming
- Year 2: Realtime Environments, Contemporary Issues and Game Design
- Year 3: Global Games: Culture and Engagement, Experimental Practice
- Plus 16 elective/flexible courses chosen from an approved list to complete the 240 credit-point program

Completion of an Australian Year 12 (Senior Secondary) certificate or equivalent international qualification. Assumed background knowledge: Any General or Applied English subject (Units 3 and 4, C); Any two units of English (Band 3).
