About this program

The Bachelor of Visual Arts at Griffith University equips students with the historical, theoretical and practical knowledge to begin a career in the visual arts in Australia or internationally. First year covers introductory courses in painting, sculpture, performance and installation, photography, drawing and contemporary Australian Indigenous art. In second year students select a major and tailor their studies with electives such as public art, study tours and gallery internships, and by third year deepen their major, produce a major cross-disciplinary project, and exhibit their work. It runs three years full-time.
