The Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University integrates traditional PhD research training, through the preparation of a thesis, with coursework and internship training in the theory and techniques of clinical psychology. Graduates are prepared for specialist careers in clinical research settings, including universities, hospitals, research foundations and government bodies. The program is designed to meet the requirements for full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and entry to the registrar program for area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology. Students must hold and maintain provisional or full registration as a psychologist. It runs four years full-time.
