Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Clinical Psychology
University of Western Australia, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
This is a combined four year professional and research doctoral pathway (course code 01870/54570) that synthesises the Master of Clinical Psychology with a PhD. It follows a scientist practitioner model intended for students aiming to become future leaders in clinical psychology by combining high level clinical practice skills with the capacity to advance the discipline through original research. The program is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC); graduates become eligible for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and may pursue endorsement in clinical psychology after completing the Board's Registrar Program. This combined pathway is not being offered for new entry in 2026, though it remains an active accredited program in UWA's handbook.
