About this program

Griffith's Master of Primary Teaching is a 160-credit-point initial teacher education degree, 1.5 to two years full-time, taught online and at Brisbane South and the Gold Coast. It is designed for people who hold a bachelor degree in another field and want to teach children from Prep to Year 6, combining coursework in childhood development, educational psychology, curriculum design, inclusive teaching, literacy and numeracy with supervised classroom placement. The degree is accredited by the Queensland College of Teachers. Entry is a non-education bachelor degree plus non-academic requirements, with IELTS 7.5. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and to teach in primary schools. Indicative international tuition is around A$36,500 per year.
