About this program

Griffith's Master of Secondary Teaching is a 160-credit-point initial teacher education degree, 1.5 to two years full-time, taught at the Gold Coast, Brisbane South and online. It prepares people who hold a bachelor degree in another field to teach students from Year 7 to Year 12, combining coursework in adolescent development, curriculum design, assessment and classroom management with teaching-subject method and supervised placement. The degree is accredited by the Queensland College of Teachers. Entry is a non-education bachelor degree with relevant content plus non-academic requirements, and IELTS 7.5. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers and to teach in secondary schools. Indicative international tuition is around A$36,500 per year.
