About this program

Griffith's Master of Speech Pathology is a 160-credit-point degree, two years full-time, taught at the Gold Coast, that qualifies graduates from other disciplines to enter the profession. It uses small-group, problem-based learning and workplace placements in hospitals, schools, aged care and private practice to build assessment, intervention and clinical reasoning skills across communication and swallowing. The degree is accredited by Speech Pathology Australia. Entry is a bachelor degree in a related discipline with a grade point average of at least 5.0 plus an interview, and a high English requirement of IELTS 8.0. Graduates work as certified practising speech pathologists in hospitals, community health, rehabilitation, schools, aged care and private practice.
