About this program

The Bachelor of Information Systems is Holmes Institute's three year IT and business degree, built around the Australian Computer Society's core body of knowledge, covering programming, database design, systems analysis, enterprise systems, business intelligence, human computer interaction, information security and a machine learning and artificial intelligence unit in the second year. It runs across Melbourne, Sydney and Gold Coast with five intakes a year (March, May, July, September and November).

Graduates are prepared for roles such as business analyst, systems analyst, IT consultant, data analyst, project coordinator or web/systems developer, with longer term progression toward IT manager, enterprise systems specialist or CIO. The degree sits alongside Holmes's Master of Information Systems as a direct pathway, and the elective structure lets students borrow units from Holmes's other bachelor degrees (Business, Fashion Business) where prerequisites are met.
