About this program
Human services work is about showing up for people when it matters most. Gain the skills, experience and regional grounding to build a career across health, social justice and community services in North Queensland and beyond. Depending on the subject, you can choose from available online or on-campus attendance options, allowing you to balance study with work and other commitments. This degree prepares you for a career in human services practice, with a strong focus on the regional communities where skilled practitioners are needed most. Study in Cairns or Townsville in a flexible mix of on-campus and online delivery. Core subjects cover human rights and social policy, Indigenous frameworks for practice, interpersonal communication, organisational practice and community work , giving you a grounding in both the theory and practice of the sector.
