About this program
Designed for experienced health professionals and graduates who want to work in public health, La Trobe's Doctor of Public Health combines a year of coursework with an extended, supervised research project. Core and elective subjects build skills in research design, literature review, critical analysis and academic writing.
Candidates then pursue an independent investigation into a public health problem relevant to government, non-government, professional or community settings, culminating in a thesis of up to 60,000 words.
