About this program
La Trobe's Master of Dietetics is a 1.5-year, 195-credit-point degree that qualifies graduates to practise as registered dietitians, building on La Trobe's long history in nutrition education. It takes a person-centred, evidence-based approach to nutrition science and applies research skills across clinical and community practice settings. The degree is accredited by Dietitians Australia. Entry is a bachelor degree in nutrition, or in a science or health field with a nutrition minor, completed in the last eight years and including set units in human biology, human physiology, chemistry and biochemistry. IELTS 7.0 with no band below 7.0. Graduates work in hospitals, private practice, community and public health, and research. Indicative international tuition is around A$52,600 per year for a full-time year.
