About this program

La Trobe's Master of Education is a two-year, 240-credit-point degree for experienced educators and related professionals moving into leadership or specialist roles. Core subjects cover educational leadership, psychology, research and digital technologies, with the option to specialise in inclusion and diversity, language and literacy, or leadership and management, and an emphasis on curriculum reform, program design and using data for evidence-based practice. This is not an initial teacher education course and does not lead to registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. Entry is a completed bachelor degree. IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0. Graduates work as school leaders, inclusive education coordinators, learning designers, education managers and education researchers. Indicative international tuition is around A$40,600 per year.
