La Trobe University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
La Trobe's Master of Teaching (Primary) is a two-year, 240-credit-point initial teacher education degree, with a 1.5-year accelerated option, that qualifies graduates to teach in primary schools. It combines practical and evidence-based coursework with extensive supervised in-school placement, and is accredited by the Victorian Institute of Teaching across most campuses. Entry is a completed bachelor degree with relevant content; applicants from countries where English is not the main language of instruction need IELTS 7.0 overall with no band below 7.0 and at least 7.5 in speaking and listening. Graduates work as primary school teachers in Australia and overseas, and in community education and non-traditional learning settings. Indicative international tuition is around A$41,600 per year.
