About this program
Macquarie University Bachelor of Information Technology is built from a core zone in the chosen field and a flexible zone for depth or breadth, with one or two majors drawn from more than 20 options including artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, information systems and business analysis, software development, web development, and games design and development. The data science major uses computational and statistical techniques, machine learning and data mining to work with big data. The degree is co-designed with industry partners including Microsoft, IBM, Amazon, CSIRO Data61 and DSTG, and connects students with more than 300 companies through projects and internships. It is accredited by the Australian Computer Society. Year 12 applicants apply through UAC, with entry based on selection rank or the Subject Advantage scheme. Indicative international tuition is around A$48,200 per year.
