About this program
Macquarie University's Juris Doctor is a three-year graduate law degree open to people whose bachelor degree is in any field, and to holders of overseas law degrees seeking Australian recognition. Entry is a bachelor qualification with a weighted average mark of 65, or a Macquarie Graduate Certificate of Laws. The program covers the compulsory areas of legal knowledge required for admission plus electives, and completing it satisfies the academic requirements to qualify for admission as a legal practitioner in New South Wales; practical legal training is completed separately.
