About this program

The Bachelor of Data Analytics gives students the data-analytic lifecycle and industry-tool foundations for a career in smart-technology fields such as the Internet of Things, robotics and deep learning, and the growing volumes of data those fields generate. Specialised final-year electives point toward emerging areas including smart technologies and advanced artificial intelligence, alongside deep learning, neural networks and smart-algorithm theory and practice.

Students can pull recommended electives from either MIT's networking unit pool (network security, systems administration, software engineering, cyber security) or its business unit pool (management, accounting, marketing, economics, commercial law, statistics), giving the degree more flexibility than a narrowly technical program. It closes with two mandatory final-year capstone units delivered as an industry-based project.

Runs from both the Melbourne and Sydney campuses across three intakes a year (March, July, November).
