Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications)
Melbourne Institute of Technology, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
MIT's Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Telecommunications) is currently in teach-out mode at the Melbourne campus, meaning it is not accepting new commencing students, only continuing existing enrolments through to completion; it remains a real, currently CRICOS-registered and accredited award rather than a discontinued one. The degree covers the planning, design, implementation, management and maintenance of telecommunication systems and networks, with hands-on work on current hardware and software and electives spanning IT, computer networking, systems analysis and security.
The course is designed with input from industry professionals and is aimed at Engineers Australia Stage 1 competency mapping, with a two-part capstone project in the final year that applies theoretical concepts to hands-on design, project management and communication.
