About this program
The Bachelor of Networking builds the practical and theoretical foundations to design, implement, secure and maintain computer network technologies and communication systems, covering hardware, software, programming, information systems, network security, database technologies, software engineering and project management, moving into advanced topics like wireless network security, advanced internetworking design and enterprise cybersecurity.
All Bachelor of Networking degrees share the same 18 core units; students then choose a major in Software Engineering or Cybersecurity, or a Cloud Networks specialisation, and finish with two mandatory final-year industry-based project units. Graduates are prepared for vendor certification paths such as Microsoft Server Administration and Cisco's CCNA family.
Offered from both the Melbourne and Sydney campuses across three intakes a year (March, July, November).

Admissions
Recent Year 12 completion (VCE, HSC or equivalent, or the IB), with English and Mathematics study-score prerequisites as this is an IT program; or full-time equivalent higher education study; or an AQF Certificate IV or higher from an RTO; or a Foundation Studies/Tertiary Preparatory program; or assessment on work and life experience. Domestic applicants must be 17 at course commencement; international applicants must be 18.
