About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours) starts with a common first-year engineering program shared across all engineering branches, giving students hands-on design-and-build experience before they commit to aerospace as their specific specialisation from second year onward. Once specialised, students build in-depth technical knowledge of aerospace-specific engineering methods, tools and design techniques, alongside the project management skills needed to run engineering projects rather than just contribute technical work to them. High-achieving students can fast-track into the Master of Engineering through an accelerated pathway, using electives during the bachelor's degree to complete master's-level units and graduating with both an honours bachelor's degree and an expert master's degree in a fraction of the usual combined time. It suits students committed to an aerospace engineering career from early in their studies, and the shared first year gives some flexibility to switch into a different engineering specialisation if aerospace turns out not to be the right fit after initial exposure.

- This course comprises 192 points
- of which 144 points are from core engineering studies and 48 points are available for elective studies. A minimum of 72 points must be completed in engineering studies at level 3 and above. Elective units will be at a specified level. No more than ten level 1 units (60 points) can be counted towards the engineering course. Units are 6 points unless otherwise stated. COMMON FIRST YEAR (48 points) The Common First Year comprises Parts A and B. PART A.
