- The course comprises 48 points of legal studies structured in two parts, Part A Introductory knowledge and Part B Extending specialist knowledge Units are 6 points unless otherwise stated. Part A. Foundation studies (6 points) You must complete one of the units below: LAW5000 Australian legal reasoning and methods LAW5081 Australian legal process and research Part B: Specialist studies (42 points) You must complete seven units, which can be taken from any one or more of the specialisations listed below (not all units are offered every year).
